2024 Alan H. Buerger Industry Leadership Award Recipient Announced
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMiami, October 24, 2024 -- The Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA), the nation's oldest and largest organization representing the life settlement industry, awarded the 2024 Alan H. Buerger (AHB) Leadership Award to Rob Haynie, Managing Director of Life Insurance Settlements, Inc. at its 30th Annual Life Settlement Conference in Miami on October 24.
Mr. Haynie has been a pioneering leader in the life settlement industry for over 25 years, dating back to its roots in the viatical settlement market. As one of the industry's foundational builders, he has tirelessly advocated for the importance of life settlements in financial planning, educating intermediaries about the value of life insurance and the need to consider settlement options.
Mr. Haynie's unwavering dedication and leadership have been integral to the growth and success of both the life settlement industry and LISA. He has served multiple terms on the LISA Board, actively participates in events, panels, and committees, and regularly engages with stakeholders to advance the industry's goals. He has been instrumental in recruiting new members and consistently supports LISA as a charter member and financial sponsor. His leadership has driven key initiatives such as the annual provider survey. Beyond his work with LISA, Mr. Haynie serves on various boards and councils, further championing the life settlement asset class within the broader financial community.

The AHB Leadership award honors industry leaders who have made significant contributions to support the development and growth of LISA and the life settlement marketplace. LISA's Board of Directors renamed its Industry Leadership Award to the Alan H. Buerger Leadership award in 2022, in honor of the Coventry co-founder and Executive Chairman and former Chairman of LISA. Buerger was the winner of the LISA Leadership Award in 2021.
