The Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) is pleased
to announce political analyst and journalist Michael Barone
as a keynote speaker for LISA’s 18th Annual Life Settlement
Conference. Widely regarded, Mr. Barone is one of our
country’s great political minds. The conference will be held
at The Westin Philadelphia, on May 21 through 23, 2012.

political analysts in the country. Michael Barone is at the
forefront of American political coverage and someone who
explores and analyzes political issues with an unmatched
passion and clarity," said LISA's Executive Director Darwin
Bayston. Mr. Barone will address conference attendees on May
22.
Damron, Friedman, Among Other Featured Key Conference
Speakers
LISA also welcomes State Representative Robert Damron of
Kentucky as a conference speaker. Representative Damron is
the former president of the National Conference of Insurance
Legislators (NCOIL). He was instrumental in developing the
NCOIL Life Settlements Model Act. Over the past 10 years,
Representative Damron has authored numerous NCOIL model
bills that have since been passed into law in many states
across the country.
Howard Friedman, PhD, distinguished Professor of Psychology
at the University of California at Riverside and the
Exclusive Scientific Consultant at Longevity Insight
Services, will also address conference attendees. Professor
Friedman’s scientific work on health and longevity has
garnered wide attention in the scientific community and has
been featured in popular media worldwide.

implications of the
Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) for fund
managers on Monday,

that afternoon. Topics the LISA Conference will explore
