Terminology Management - New Comparative Study Now Available
The LISA Terminology Special Interest Group (SIG) announces the availability of its first summary report, Terminology Management - A Comparative Study of Costs, Data Categories, Tools, and Organizational Structure. The study compares costs, data categories, tools and organizational structure related to terminology activities within SIG member companies. It is especially designed to provide valuable insights to organizations planning to implement new terminology procedures. Eight companies were surveyed as a follow-on to the LISA Terminology Survey released in 2001, all fitting the profile of large organizations that manage terminology in a systematic fashion:
Survey questions were developed with input from all LISA Terminology SIG members. The report identifies trends in best practices rather than drawing sweeping conclusions. The SIG will leverage these findings to eventually develop a “terminology cookbook.” Terminology Management – A Comparative Study of Costs, Data Categories, Tools, and Organizational Structure is available without charge to LISA General Assembly and Sponsor Members. Other LISA Members may purchase the study for US$ 95.00. It is being offered to the public for US$ 195.00. Please click here to order your copy today. |
