Machine Translation Trends in Japan
A common complaint of localizers and translators in relation to Japan is the poor quality of the tools available. In this article Dr. Sophia Ananiadou, author of a British study on Japanese machine translation systems examines market needs and developments, and especially the shift away from low-end MT to more sophisticated systems.
