As a wrap-up to the LISA Forum 1994 programs, this meeting covers the marketing, business and technical aspects of developing global ready products. In addition to the general business sessions we will run separate tracks to examine specific technical and marketing areas for the Asia/Pacific and Central and Eastern European markets. The meeting will be held on-site at Sun Microsystems' Mountain View headquarters facility.

Discussion Panels

Why normalize pricing and evaluation criteria? What are the legal issues associated with terminology and glossary ownership? What is the liability exposure for faulty translation quality? What are the legal implications of localizing marketing collateral and licensing agreements? These, among other issues, will be addressed by the leading vendors and publishers in this business. Technical discussions will feature: Unicode, WorldScript, X/OPEN, and Document Format Standards, Localizing Windows/GUIs for Chinese and other Asian markets.
