Jens Thomas Lück is the new President and CEO of LOGOS, and he is now joined by Dr. Claus Gehner, Vice President of Development, and Peter Dressel, Vice President for Sales and Services. The Founder of LOGOS, Bernard Scott, has rejoined the company as Vice President for Research with responsibility for advanced products.

LOGOS employs over thirty linguists, computational linguists and software engineers worlwide. They are currently expanding their staff with suitably qualified individuals. President and CEO Jens Thomas Lück said, "LOGOS is now prepared structurally and financially for a surge in Digital Text Translation and the expected growth of this dynamic market. LOGOS will continue to develop and market new language capabilities, bringing intelligent computer translation to its customers--translators and technical publishers who need to communicate information globally, in the language of the reader."

Earlier this quarter, LOGOS announced the new software release 7.5 of its Multilingual Document Translation System. This new version offers easier text & graphics handling and operates under the popular SUN/Unix platform. Release 7.5 is file format compatible with the leading document publishing systems such as Interleaf®, Frame®, WordPerfect® and Microsoft Word®, and others.

In response to requests from LOGOS users and an increasingly DTP-literate marketplace, a notable new feature of release 7.5 is the GUI, based upon OSF_/Motif which offers much easier handling of text and graphics.

Also new is the English-Italian translation system, which brings to seven the total number of language pairs available from LOGOS. English to German, French, Spanish and Italian, and; German to English, French and Italian.
