LISA in Heidelberg not to be Missed!
Evaluation and Implementation of CAT in the Spotlight

This year's LISA Annual Meeting will be held in Heidelberg, 21-22 April, and it is the one LISA event that no member should miss. It will build upon the excellent start we made at our first Annual Meeting last year in Dublin by offering another timely series of top-notch speakers and discussion panels investigating automated language processing technologies and issues related to localization productivity. The theme of the Heidelberg event will be Evaluation and Implementation of Computer (-Aided) Translation within the Industrial Environment, with an emphasis on real-world experiences and case studies. Exhibitors will include today's leading vendors of localization, translation, and document management applications. All in all, Heidelberg promises to be a unique event.

Feature Topics Include

  • Machine Translation Systems and CAT tools
  • User analysis and application requirements
  • Evaluating MT Systems for your Company
  • How to Plan Translation Workstation Investment Strategies
  • Localization Tools: Proprietary and Commercial
  • New Approaches to Machine Translation

The event is being co-hosted by IBM Germany's Language Technology Market Introduction Division in Heidelberg. We have already pre-registered 7 exhibitors and over 30 participants. Alpnet's Translation Support System, Trados' Translators Workbench, Bull ILO's Localization Workstation, LOGOS' Translation System, SITE - Eurolang, the STAR-TRANSIT system and the IBM Translation Manager/2 are among the products scheduled to be exhibited.

You are advised to register as soon as possible by completing the accompanying Meeting Confirmation Form and faxing it to LISA Administration. Note: the maximum allocation is 80 delegates.

If you would like to exhibit your product or join one of the speaker panels, contact LISA Administration or send mail to MANOBILE@DIVSUN.UNIGE.CH
