Important Deadlines
| 16 March 2009 | Deadline: Paper Proposals | Review the call for papers your topic proposal before sending your abstract. |
| Early April 2009 | Deadline: Notification of acceptance | We will send out notifications of acceptance in early April. |
| June 15, 2009 | Deadline: Topic Description | Send your final topic description to events@lisa.org. |
| May 8, 2009 | Deadline: Speaker and Company Profiles, Photo | Send your personal and company profiles, along with your photo, to events@lisa.org for posting on our web site and inclusion in the printed agenda and final program. |
| July 6, 2009 | Deadline: Presentations | As soon as the Program Committee confirms your topic, send your final presentation slides to events@lisa.org, for inclusion in the Program Booklet. |
Presentation Guidelines
Presentation slides should focus on your accepted topic and be more graphically than textually oriented.
Absolutely no "selling" of products or services is permitted.
For inclusion in the Program Booklet we can accept the following formats:
- Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt)
Note that PowerPoint 2007/2008 format (.pptx) files must be saved to .ppt format. - Open Office Impress (.odp)
If you use another program for your slides (e.g., Apple KeyNote), you will need to export them to one of the formats listed above.
Note that you will need to include any special fonts (such as corporate or foreign language fonts) along with the presentation so that we can be sure to output your slides accurately.
All presentations submitted for LISA Events are copyright the author and LISA. By submitting your presentation, you agree to allow LISA to make your presentation available from the LISA web site for download to the LISA membership and to the Event participants.
You are encouraged to place any published materials about your organization on the Registration Information Table during the Event. Please bring at least 100 copies.
Presentations Recording
All Forum presentations may be recorded. If you have any concerns about recording your presentation, please let us know by sending an email to events@lisa.org.
Audio Visual Support
You should plan on brining your own laptop for presentations as well as having a backup of your presentation on a USB memory stick.
The following equipment will be provided for all presenters:
Plenary Sessions:
- An LCD Projector for PC and Macintosh portables
- A portable running Windows
- Microphones and table microphones
All other sessions:
- An LCD Projector for PC and Macintosh portables
