Overview
This year’s Asian forum will concentrate on the problems and opportunities associated with today’s Chinese translation and localization business. Emphasis will be placed on the Internet and China’s rapid expansion of the Web.
Keynote and plenary presentations by the McKinsey, Microsoft and the FedEX organizations will focus on electronic commerce, quality, and supply chain management. Anthony Perkins, McKinsey and Company's China Operations Director, opens the forum with an overview of China's developing market for e*Commerce and future trends. Federal Express' Asia-Pacific Director, Peter Mok, reviews how their logistics and commercial development rely on the web for daily operations. Dimitri Kieffer, Microsoft MIBN Manager for Asia Pacific gives an operation review and business outlook for the region.
There will be separate business and technology tracks covering engineering, product development, marketing and management issues.
