The Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) is a not-for-profit industry association based in Switzerland.
Our privacy policy covers LISA and its website(s).
Providing Visitors with Anonymous Access
You may access our Web site home page and browse our site without disclosing your personal data other than IP address and other information automatically logged by web server software. If you choose not to register with the LISA site or not to log in, this information is not correlated with personal information except for in the case of forms that request personal information.
Some content on this Web site is available only to registered site visitors or LISA members.

Some features of our Web site enable you to communicate with other visitors or to post information to be accessed by others. When you do so, other visitors may collect the data that you publicly disclose. LISA bears no liability for how information you choose to publicly disclose may be used by parties other than LISA.

We collect the personal data that you may volunteer while using our services. We do not collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations.
The specific personal information we gather about you may be found in our user profile page. In addition we may link this data with data concerning materials downloaded from the LISA website, registrations for LISA forums and other programs, and other contact made with the association as needed to facilitate operations of the organization and to provide relevant service offerings and enable you to access “shopping cart” and other site download features.
We do not collect or use personal data for any purpose other than those indicated in this statement.
If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, we will contact you via the email address you provide to us regarding this usage.
6. Children's Privacy
Children under legal age required in their country of domicile may not register with the LISA website and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not take specific steps to protect the privacy of children who may disclose their personal data to us counter to this policy.
7. Disclosure and Visitor Choice
We do not disclose your personal data to other organizations, with the exception that we may confirm LISA membership status on request as needed to facilitate joint marketing ventures and/or service offerings (e.g., if another organization offers a discount to LISA members and wishes to confirm eligibility).

We give you the option of using a secure transmission method to send us the following types of personal data:

We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from:

All our employees and data processors, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors' personal data.
We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.
9. Access to the Personal Data We May Hold about You
You can ask us, by sending an email to admin@lisa.org, whether we are keeping personal data about you. Upon request, which you can indicate by visiting this logging into the LISA site and visiting your user profile maintenance page, we will provide you with a readable copy of the personal data which we keep about you almost instantaneously on-line although we may before require proof of your identity if you do not know your log-in details. We will provide this information without any charge.
We allow you to challenge the data that we hold about you and, where appropriate, you may have the data erased, rectified or amended, or completed.
We do not reserve the right to refuse to provide you with a copy of your personal data.
